About this place
The mixed yakiton platter lets you choose between salt, savoury sauce and secret miso sauce. A serving of 5 skewers costs 880 yen, and one diner particularly enjoyed the miso sauce. If you prefer to pick individual skewers—such as pork belly, pork cheek or shiro (pork intestines)—the available seasonings vary by cut, so ask for the flavour that catches your eye.
Meat sashimi and other small plates offer a change of pace between skewers. One pair who ordered an assortment of meat sashimi said the portion was just right, with no unpleasant smell and a well-judged amount of condiments. The menu also lists an assortment of 3 kinds of meat sashimi (803 yen), as well as chicken-heart and skirt-steak sashimi, making it possible to sample a few different options.
The menu includes a special cabbage platter served with salted kelp and spicy miso, as well as fried chicken. Some diners have recommended the cabbage and fried chicken; they are options to add alongside the skewers, particularly if you fancy something fried.
The dining room has counter seating and booths, offering a choice whether you are stopping in alone for skewers or sharing dishes with friends. The Sangenjaya branch opens daily at 18:00 and stays open until 4:00 the following morning, so it can also suit a late meal.
